Abstract


RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHERS' SELF- EFFICACY AND THEIR ATTITUDES TOWARDS TEACHING PROFESSION
The aim of this research is to demonstrate by compiling and discussing the relationship between physical education teachers' attitudes towards the teaching profession and their self-efficacy using personal information and attitude scales related to the subject. The scale form consists of three parts; “Personal Information Form” in the first part "Attitude Scale Related to the Teaching Profession of Teachers" prepared by likert type quintile developed by Semerci in the second part and "Attitude Scale related to the teaching profession of teachers" by Jarrusselam and Shawarzer in 1979 in 20 categories by Jarrusselam and Shawarzer in 1981 A 4-point Likert-type "General Self-Efficacy Scale" was used, which was translated into Turkish and translated into 10 items by Yeşilay (1996). The sample of the study is 364 voluntary physical education and sports teachers (Xage = 33.70 ± 3.64) selected randomly. As a result, there was no statistically significant relationship between the attitudes of the research group to the teaching profession and self-efficacy.
