Abstract


WHAT ARE THE POWER RESOURCES THAT THE PRIMARY SCHOOL PRINCIPALS USE IN THE CONTEXT OF MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE?
The purpose of this study is to examine the views of the administrators and teachers about the power sources used by the school administrators in the primary schools in the K Region of the province of D. For this purpose, qualitative research approach was used. Within the scope of the study, a total of 16 participants, including four school administrators and 12 teachers, were interviewed in the primary schools in the province of D in the 2018-2019 academic years. In the study, an interview form consisting of open-ended questions prepared by the researcher was used. The data were interpreted by the content analysis technique. It has been determined that teachers and administrators care to be objective while reporting their opinions. According to the answers of the teachers and administrators who participated in the research, both experienced and inexperienced school principals have used their legal power from time to time. However, it is concluded that experienced school principals use their expertise and charismatic power in some cases instead of legal power.
