Turkish is one of the languages of the Ural-Altaic family of languages and has been in the wider geographies since the very earliest times of history. The teaching of Turkish as a foreign language, which is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, has gained great progress and momentum since the 1980s. Today, many institutions, organization or language teaching center in Turkey and abroad carry out their teaching programs in order to promote and popularize Turkish language and culture. Role playing, a teaching technique in which a particular idea, event or situation is dramatized by a group of students, has an important role in the development of speaking and listening skills of A1, A2 and B1 students in Turkish teaching to foreigners.
