SOSYAL BİLGİLER DERSİ “İPEK YOLUNDA TÜRKLER” ÜNİTESİ İÇİN KAVRAM ÖĞRETİM MATERYALİ GELİŞTİRME ÇALIŞMASI

Abstract
Türkiye’de son yıllarda yapılan çalışmalar, öğrencilerin sosyal bilgiler dersinde daha çok görsel materyal kullanılması yönünde beklentilerini ortaya koyarken, öğretmenlerin sosyal bilgiler dersini işlerken yeteri kadar görsel materyal kullanmadıklarını göstermektedir. Bu nedenle, bu çalışmanın amacı 6. sınıf sosyal bilgiler dersinin “İpek Yolunda Türkler” ünitesinde geçen kavramların öğretiminde kullanılabilecek kavram bulmaca örnekleri geliştirmektir. Bu bağlamda her kavramın yalnızca bir bulmacada kullanıldığı, toplam 30 kavramdan oluşan üç adet bulmaca örneği geliştirilmiştir. Geliştirilen bulmaca örnekleri ile öğrencilerin sosyal bilgiler derslerinde görsel materyal kullanımına ilişkin beklentilerinin karşılanması amaçlanmaktadır. Ayrıca materyal hazırlama yönünde isteksiz sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerinin de derslerinde materyal kullanma ve hazırlama noktasında motive edilmesi hedeflenmektedir.

Abstract
The studies in Turkey in recent years have shown that although students expect more visual materials to be used in social studies classes, teachers use less than expected. Therefore, the aim of this study is to develop the concept puzzle samples that can be used in teaching the concepts mentioned in “The Turks on Silk Road” in Grade 6 social studies. In this context, total 3 puzzle sample was developed that formed 30 concept which every single concept was used only in one puzzle. With the help of developed puzzle samples, it is intended to meet the expectations of the students regarding the use of visual materials in social studies. It is also aimed to motivate the social studies teachers who are reluctant to prepare and use materials.
