Abstract
Ortadoğu’da “Arap Baharı” adı ile başlayan toplumsal hareketlerin başlıca aktörleri olan gençliğin hangi parametreler çerçevesinde rol aldıkları analiz edilmektedir. Siyasal katılımdan yeterince faydalanamayan gençliğin sosyal, ekonomik, kültürel ve siyasal haklardan yoksun olması, gençliğin toplumsal hareketlerde başlıca aktör olmasını sağlamıştır. Siyasal katılımda klasik yolları kullanamayan, seçimlerde ve parlamentoda temsil edilemeyen gençlik kendisine alternatif kamusal alan olarak İnternet ve sosyal medyayı seçmiştir. İktidar denetiminden nispeten uzak olan sanal alemde örgütlenen gençlik, “Arap Baharı”nda da aktif olarak sosyal medyayı kullanmıştır. Bu çalışma gençliğin yeni yükselen aktör olarak toplumsal hareketlerdeki rollerini irdelemekte ve siyasetin yeni biçimi olan sosyal medya ve İnternet ile olan ilişkisini analiz etmektedir. Yeni toplumsal hareketler ve temsili demokrasilerin krizi bağlamındaki argümanların ışığında Ortadoğu gençliğinin gelecekte nasıl aktörler olacağı tahmin edilmeye çalışılmaktadır. Henüz örgütlü bir hareket haline gelemeseler de gelecek siyasetine yön verecekleri anlaşılmaktadır.

Abstract
It is being analyzed that in which parameters the youth played role in the uprisings of the Middle East called as “Arap Spring”. Since the youth could not take place in political participation efficiently, and could not use social, economic, cultural, and political rights basically; they became main actors in the social movements. The youth who cannot take placein the classical wasy of political participation, elections and parliament has chosen social media and Internet as an alternative public sphere. The youth who organized in the cyber world relatively far away from the power control used socail media. This study aims to analyze the roles of the youth as a newly rising actor in the social movements; and criticize the relation to Internet and social media as new forms of politics. Under the lights of the arguements around new social movements and the crisis of the representative democracy; it is trying to be guessed how the youth will play role in the future politics of the Mİddle East. It is understood that although they are not well organized movements, they will play curcial roles in the politices in future.
