Abstract
Osmanlı Devleti’nin son döneminde, suçları takip edebilmek ve faillere dair bilgileri toplu halde görebilmek maksadıyla tutulan iki türlü suç cetveli bulunmaktadır. Bunlardan ilki, cinayet suçlarının mahalli, faillerin isimleri, suçun detayları gibi bilgileri içeren “vukuat-ı cinaiye cetvelleri”, ikincisi ise vilayet dâhilinde gerçekleşen tüm suçları ve faillerin niteliklerini rakamsal olarak ve toplu halde içeren “ceraim-i umumiye cetvelleri”dir. Bu cetvellerin düzensiz bir şekilde tutulmasından dolayı, suçların ve faillerin durumunu kronolojik olarak takip etmek mümkün olmasa da, özellikle ceraim-i umumiye cetvellerinin içerdiği bilgiler sayesinde faillerin ve dolayısıyla toplumun genel durumuna dair bir değerlendirme yapmak mümkün olmaktadır. Bu çalışma içerisinde, toplumsal iniş ve çıkışların, savaşların yaşandığı bir süreç olan 1908-1916 yılları arasında, adam öldürme suçu faillerinin niteliklerini ve bu suçun Aydın Vilayeti dahilinde ne düzeyde meydana geldiği incelenecektir.

Abstract
In the last period of Ottoman Empire, there were two kinds of crime schedules which were maintained in order to follow crimes and see batch information about perpetrators. First of them was “felony schedules” which contained information about crime scenes, perpetrators name and details about felonies; the second were “general crimes schedules” which contained all occuring crimes in the province and characteristic of perpetrators by numbers. Because of these schedules had been not written regularly and chronologicly, it’s not possible follow criminal timeline and perpetrators; however, through the information obtained from general crime schedules, it is possible to evaluate perpetrators and in the meantime the society’s general situation. Within this study characteristic of perpetrators of murder and level of the crime in Aydın Province, in the years between 1908-1916, when there were social unrests and the wars will be investigated.
