Abstract
Osmanlı tarihi boyunca ilmî eğitim, çeşitli kurumlara bağlı olarak işlevini sürdürmüştür. Bu kurumlar arasında Enderun mektebi, medreseler, sanat ve tasavvuf eğitiminin verildiği tekkeleri sayabiliriz. Mûsikî eğitimi de resmi anlamda bazı kurumlara bağlı olarak varlığını devam ettirmiştir. Osmanlı'da başta Enderun olmak üzere, Mevlevîhâneler, Mehterhâne, Muzika-i Hümayûn, Maârife bağlı Mûsikî Mektepleri, özellikle Dârü'l-Elhân ve Maârif Nezaretine bağlı Mûsikî Cemiyetleri; mûsikî eğitimini üstlenen kurumları oluşturmaktadır. Bu kurumlarda ilk dönemler meşk yoluyla yapılan mûsikî eğitimi, Tanzimat'tan sonra Maârif'e dayalı kurumlarda çağın gerektirdiği koşullara uygun olarak verilmeye başlamıştır. Osmanlı döneminden başlayıp birtakım değişikliklerle varlığını sürdüren Mûsikî Cemiyetleri, mûsikî eğitim sürecinde önemli bir yere sahiptir. Çalışmamızın amacı bu kurumlardan biri olan İstanbul Türk Millî Mûsikî Cemiyeti'nin, T.C. Başbakanlık Osmanlı Devlet Arşiv'inden ulaştığımız İstanbul Türk Millî Mûsikî Cemiyeti Nizamnâme ve Talimatnâme'si ışığında mûsikî eğitimine sağladığı katkıyı ortaya koymaktır.

Abstract
Scientific education has continued throughout Ottoman history by means of various institutions. School of Enderûn, madrassas and sufi lodges where educaton of art and mysticism is provided, can be counted among these instititutions. In this perspective “Musical Education” has continued to exist formally within some of these institutions. In the Ottoman Empire; Enderun, Mevlevîhânes, Mehterhânes (Military Band of the Palace), Muzika-i Hümayûn (Ottoman Imperial Orchestra), Musical Schools of Ministry of Education, especially Dârü'l-Elhân (Conservatory) and Musical Associations under the control of Ministry of Education constituted the institutions undertaking the musical education. In these institutions, musical education was applied with the traditional music teaching method “Meşk” in the first period but after the Tanzimat reform era it began to be delivered in accordance with the requirements of the age in the institutions of the ministry of education. Musical Associations, existing since the Ottoman period and still functioning with some changes, have an important place in musical education process. The aim of our study is to determine the contribution of, one of these institutions, “İstanbul Turkish National Music Society” to musical education in the light of a regulative document in the name of “ Directory and the Regulations of İstanbul Turkish National Music Society” we reached in the State Archives of the Prime Ministry of the Republic of Turkey.
