Abstract

Gravür, ahşap ya da metal baskı levhalarıyla çeşitli kazı resim teknikleri kullanılarak gerçekleştirilip çoğaltılmış her tür sanatsal ürün anlamına gelmektedir. Gravür, oyma kazıma sanatı olarak bilinen en eski baskı tekniklerinden biridir. Tarihin erken dönemlerinde itibaren görülen gravür, daha sonraki aşamalarda sanatçılara kolaylık sağlayacak yeni tekniklerle zenginleştirilerek günümüze değin gelmeyi başarmıştır. Bu sanat dalının en tanınmış sanatçılarından biri Alman sanatçı Albrecht Dürer’dir. Rönesans Döneminin en tanınmış isimlerinden biri olan sanatçı, çok sayıda bakır oyma ve ağaç baskı esere imza atmıştır. Bu eserleri dini, alegorik, mitolojik ve farklı konularda çeşitlilik göstermektedir. Çalışmalarının geneline bakıldığında dini konulu gravürlerinin çoğunlukta olduğu görülmektedir. Tüm çalışmalarında olduğu gibi dini konulu eserleri de derin bir gözlemin ürünüdür. Bu çalışmada Albrecht Dürer’in dini konulu gravürleri ele alınmıştır. Çoğunluğunu Tevrat ve İncil’den alınan sahnelerin oluşturduğu bu eserlerin, biçimsel ve ikonografik olarak irdelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Sahnenin işleniş biçiminin yanında, konunun Kitab-ı Mukaddes ve Hıristiyan öğretisinde ne ifade ettiği vurgulanmaya çalışılmıştır. Sanatçının eserleri arasında Hz. Meryem ve Hz. İsa’nın hayatı ile ilgili sahneler çoğunluğu oluşturmaktadır. Özellikle Hz. İsa’nın çarmıha gerilişine kadarki süreçte yaşamış olduğu acılar üzerinde durulmuştur. Dürer, bu konuların dışında ayrıca aziz ve meleklerin hikâyelerini de resimlemiştir.

Abstract

Gravure means any artistic product made and reproduced by using various excavation techniques with wood or metal printing plates. Gravure is one of the oldest printing techniques known as carving scraping art. Gravure that is seen from the early period of history is an arts field which succeeded to come up to the day by enriching with new techniques that will provide convenience for the artists in later stages. One of the best-known artists of this art branch is the German artist Albrecht Dürer. He was born in 1471, one of the most famous artist of the Renaissance Period, he has signed numerous copper gravure and wood prints. These works show diversity in religious, allegorical, mythological and different topics. It is seen that most of the gravures are commonly on religion when we look at his works. His works on religion, similar to all his works, are considered deep observation and great politeness. In this study, Albrecht Dürer's religious gravure studies are examined. It is aimed to handle these works that are composed mostly by the stages taken from the Torah and the Bible in a formal and iconographic way. As well as on to the manner in which the stage is performed, it is emphasized what the subject means in the holy bible and the Christian teaching. The stages related to the life of Hz. Mary and the Prophet Jesus constitutes the majority. It is especially emphasized about Jesus’ pains until the crucifixion process. In addition to these subjects, Dürer also meticulously elaborate on the stories of saints and angels. All the works made is the result of the rigorous observation power.
