Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı 1911’de Ali Reşat ve Ali Seydi tarafından Rüştiye Mekteplerinde okuyan öğrenciler için yazılan Resimli ve Haritalı Tarih-i Osmanî adlı ders kitabından hareketle Sultan Abdulhamit dönemini ve 31 Mart Vakası’nı değerlendirmektir. İktidar politikalarında şüphesiz en etkili araç okullardır. II. Meşrutiyet döneminde iktidarın el değiştirmesi ile eğitim yeniden yapılandırılmıştır. Yeni iktidarın yanında yer alan yazarlar, tarih ders kitabı vasıtasıyla öğrencilere milletin çektikleri sıkıntıların kaynağı olarak II. Abdulhamit’i göstermişlerdir. Milletin içinde bulunduğu durumdan kurtulma adresini ise 10 Temmuz 1324 Kıyam-ı Umûmîsi ( II. Meşrutiyet’in İlanı ) olarak işlemişlerdir. Nicel ve nitel açılardan kitabın incelendiği bu çalışma aynı zamanda yazarların tarih öğretiminde düşünce ve beklentilerini ortaya çıkaracaktır.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to evaluate the period of Sultan Abdulhamit and the March 31st event within the view from the book titled “Illustrated and Mapped History of Osmani’’ written by Ali Reşat and Ali Seydi in 1911 for the students who study in the Rüştiye Local School. Undoubtedly, the most effective instrument in the ruling politics are the schools. In the period of II. Constitutional Monarchy, education was restructured by the change of power. The authors, standing beside the new government, showed II. Abdulhamit as a source of distress to the students through the history textbook. They have imposed the idea that the only way to get rid of this situation the society experiencing is the 10th June The General Rise Up ( II. Constitutional Monarchy ) This study, in which the book was examined during both quantitative and qualitative respects, will also reveal thoughts and anticipations in history teaching.
