Abstract

Bu araştırmada, henüz niş pazar konumundaki helal turizm kapsamında, çalışanların helal konseptli otel işletmelerinde çalışma isteğinin; etik algıları, birey- örgüt uyumu ve örgütsel bağlılıkları açısından belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bununla birlikte çalışanların etik algıları, birey- örgüt uyumu ve örgütsel bağlılıklarının bireysel birtakım özellikler açısından farklılaşıp farklışmadığına da bakılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Türkiye’deki farklı illerde faaliyet gösteren helal konseptli otel işletmelerinde çalışan katılımcılar oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak anket tekniğinden yaralanılmıştır. Anketler, basit tesadüfî örneklem yöntemi ile seçilen 394 çalışana yüz yüze görüşme yöntemi ile uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler ile varyans analizi ve helal konseptli otellerde çalışma isteği ve tercihi üzerine lojistik regresyon analizi yapılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda, eğitim düzeyi, görev, iş tecrübesi ve örgütsel bağlılığın helal konseptli otel işletmelerinde çalışma isteğini etkilediği bulunmuştur. Etik algı ve birey-örgüt uyumu değişkenleri helal konseptli otellerde çalışma tercihi açısından anlamlı değildir.

Abstract

In this study, within the context of halal tourism, which is still considered to be a niche market, it was aimed to investigate the desire of employees to work at halal concept hotel enterprises with regards to their ethical perceptions, person-organization fit and organizational commitment. It was also examined whether the employees' ethical perceptions, individual-organization adaptation and organizational commitment differed from one another in terms of individual’characteristics. The participants of the study consisted of the employees working at some Halal concept hotels operating in various cities in Turkey. Survey technique was used as the data collection tool in the study. The questionnaires were applied to 394 participants selected by simple random sampling method and face-to-face interviews were conducted. With the data obtained through the variance analysis, logistic regression analysis was conducted on the participants’desire and preference to work at halal concept hotels. As a result of the analyses conducted, it was found that the level of education, employee’s duty, work experience and organizational commitment significantly affected their desire to work at halal concept hotel enterprises. Ethical perception and person-organization fit variables were found to be insignificant in terms of preference to work at halal-concept hotels.
