Abstract
Çok eski çağlardan günümüze kadar geçen sürede mitolojiler, gerçek sanılan, hayal ve kurmaca olarak kabul edilmiş (hikaye, efsane v.b) kavramlardır .Günümüzde de bu kavramlar, bilim insanları tarafından, yaptıkları çalışmalarla incelenip yorumlanmıştır. Bu hikâye ve efsanelerin günümüzdeki yansımalarına baktığımızda ise, pek çok mitolojinin, kültürler ile güçlü bir ilişki içerisinde olduğunu da görürüz. Bugünde Türk mitolojisinde geçen olay, kavram, motif ve sembollerin birçok sanatçımıza ilham kaynağı olduğu eserlerindeki yansımalarından anlaşılmaktadır. Bu sanatçılarımızdan birisi de İlhami Atalay’dır. Atalay, eserlerinde İslami motifler ve Hitit motiflerinin yanı sıra Türk Mitolojisinden de çok etkilenmiştir. Sanatçımız hayatında etkilendiği pek çok olayın yansımalarını eserlerinde izleyicisiyle paylaşmıştır. Atalay, birden çok ögeyi tek bir tualde kullanmasının yanı sıra birbirinden bağımsız olarak bu sembolleri eserlerinde kullanmıştır. İlhami Atalay, Türk toplumunun geçmiş ve günümüz yaşantılarını konu aldığı eserlerini yağlı boya tekniğinde yapmıştır. Bu çalışmamızda İlhami Atalay’ın eserlerindeki renkleri, formları, sembolleri ve motifleri Türk mitolojisi açısından değerlendirip, sonuçları ortaya koymaya çalışacağız.

Abstract
Since the ancient eras, mythologies have been the concepts accepted to be true, as dreams and fictions (story, myths, etc.). Today, these concepts are interpreted and examined by the studies of scientists. When we look at the reflections of these stories and myths in our time, we also see that many mythologies demonstrate a strong relationship with the cultures. And it is understood from the reflections in the works of many of our artists that the events, symbols, motifs and symbols in the Turkish mythology have been the source of inspiration. One of these artists is İlhami Atalay. Atalay has been influenced significantly by Turkish mythology as well as Islamic and Hittite motifs. The artist shared the reflections of the events he was affected with the audience of his works. Atalay used these symbols separately in his works in addition to using multiple elements in a single canvas. İlhami Atalay performed his works expressing the past and current lives of the Turkish people in oil painting technique. In this study, we will examine the colors, forms, symbols and motifs in the works of İlhami Atalay in terms of Turkish mythology and reveal the conclusions.
