Abstract
Osmanlı Devleti bünyesinde yüzyıllar boyunca yaşamış ve çeşitli kritik görevlerde bulunmuş olan Ermeni toplumu, Osmanlı Devleti’nin son dönemlerinde çeşitli dış kışkırtmalar sonucu yer yer isyan etmişlerdir. Nitekim herkesçe bilinen bu isyanlar sonucu zorunlu yer değiştirme olarak da adlandırılan göçe tabi tutulmuşlardır. Fakat isyancılar ve ayrılıkçılar olduğu gibi devlete sadık olan Ermeni Toplumu üyeleri de bulunmaktadır. İşte bu durum çalışmamızın ana merkezi olan Berç Türker Keresteciyan’ı odak almaktadır. Sadakati, kişiliği devlete ve topluma yararları büyük olan bu kişi, Osmanlı Devleti son bulduktan sonra dahi bu toprakları terk etmeyerek Türk Milletine faydalı işler yapmıştır. Yeni Kurulan Türk Devleti, I. Dünya Savaşından sonra hem ekonomik alanda hem siyasi ve kültürel alanlarda büyük atılımlar yapmak durumundaydı. Bundan dolayı yetenekli, vatansever ve çalışkan kadrolara ihtiyaç duyuyordu. Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk bu durumun farkında olduğu için her alanda yenilikler ve inkılaplar yapmakla kalmayıp bu yenilik ve inkılapları yürütecek kişileri de özenle belirliyor, milletvekilliği süreçlerinde durumu çok yakından takip ediyordu. Berç Türker Keresteciyan’da Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’ün önem verdiği yeteneklerine güvendiği kişiler içinde yer almaktaydı. Berç Türker Keresteciyan özellikle ekonomi, kültür alanlarında çalışmalar yapmış ve Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devleti’nin gerek yerel gerekse de ulusal açmazlarında önemli roller oynayarak Türk Devleti’nin savunuculuğunu yapmıştır. Milletvekilliği döneminde mecliste yapmış olduğu konuşmalara dikkat çekilen bu çalışma Berç Türker Keresteciyan’ın ne kadar vatansever bir kişilik olduğunu gözler önüne sermektedir.

Abstract
The Armenian community, who lived in the Ottoman Empire for centuries and held various critical positions, rebelled in the last period of the Ottoman Empire as a result of various external provocations. As a result of these revolts, which are known by everyone, they were subjected to migration, also called as forced displacement. But there are rebels and separatists as well as members of the Armenian community who are loyal to the state. This focuses on Berç Türker Keresteciyan, the main center of our study. This person, whose loyalty, personality and benefits to the state and society were great, did not leave the land even after the end of the Ottoman Empire and did useful works for the Turkish Nation. After the First World War, the newly established Turkish State had to make great strides in both economic and political and cultural fields. Therefore, he needed skilled, patriotic and hard-working staff. Because Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was aware of this situation, he made not only innovations and revolutions in every field, but he also carefully chose the people who would carry out these innovations and revolutions, and he followed the situation very closely in the process of national representation. Berç Türker Keresteciyan was among the people whom Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk trusted his talents. Berç Türker Keresteciyan made studies especially in the fields of economy and culture and he played major roles in both local and national dilemma of Republic of Turkey and made the defense of the Turkish State. This work, which draws attention to the speeches he made in the parliament during his term as a deputy, reveals the kind of patriotic personality of Berç Türker Keresteciyan.
