Abstract
Tarihi ipek yolu üzerinde, binlerce yıllık geçmişe sahip Beypazarı, ülkemizin kültürel zenginlikler ve doğal güzelliklerle dolu yerleşim merkezlerinden biridir. Günümüzün değişen yaşam tarzlarına rağmen Beypazarı, kendi yörelerine ait takıları ve giysileri örf ve adetleri çerçevesinde yaşatmaya devam etmektedirler. Beypazarı özellikle telkari işlemeciliği ile ün yapmıştır. Fakat Beypazarı çok eski yıllardan beri kuyumculukla uğraşılan merkezlerden biridir. Ancak eskiden uğraşılan bu sanat dalı içinde gümüş işlerinin önemli bir yeri olduğu ve sadece döküm, savat, mine, kabartma gibi tekniklerle gümüş takılar üretildiği, telkarinin geçmişinin çok eski olmadığı bilinmektedir. Telkari tekniği Beypazarı’nda 20. yy’ın ikinci yarısından itibaren gelişmiş ve Beypazarı’nda üretilen takılar yurt içi ve yurt dışı piyasalarında aranan değerli ürünler haline gelmiştir. Bugün ise, yöreye özgü giysilerle birlikte kullanılan telkari takılar ile birlikte kullanılan kabartma kemerler ve üretilen özgün takı modelleri Beypazarı’nın hem yöresel özelliklerini koruması hem de çağa ayak uydurabilmesi açısından ayrıca önem taşımaktadır.
