Abstract
Yapılan bu çalışmada Aliya İzzetbegoviç'in düşüncesinde din ve toplumsal değişme ilişkin görüşlerinin değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmış, çalışma kapsamında belgesel kaynak taraması modelinden yararlanılmıştır. Yapılan literatür taraması sonunda Aliya İzzetbegoviç’in dini toplumsal dönüşümün asli unsuru olarak değerlendirdiği tespit edilmiştir. Ona göre İslam, yalnızca bir inançlar bütünü değil, bireyden başlayarak topluma sirayet eden kapsamlı bir değişim hareketidir. Toplumda ortaya çıkan ahlaki çöküşün giderilmesi, ancak sağlam bir inanç temeline dayalı ve bu inançla uyumlu ahlaki tutumların hayata geçirilmesi ile mümkündür. İzzetbegoviç, İslam’ın öz değerlerine bağlı kalınarak, dönemin ihtiyaçlarına cevap verecek bir yenilenme sürecinin zaruri olduğunu vurgulamıştır. Bu süreçte bilgi arayışının teşvik edilmesi, eğitimin yaygınlaştırılması ve kadınların sosyal hayata aktif katılımı kritik bir rol oynadığını ifade etmiştir. Ahlakı bireyin içsel dünyasına bağlayan İzzetbegoviç, ahlaki davranışın bilinçli seçim ve özgür irade ile ortaya çıkması gerektiğini savunmuştur. Ona göre İslam, adalet, özgürlük ve bağımsızlık ilkeleri doğrultusunda toplumu yeniden inşa ederek, kendi öz kaynaklarından beslenen bir diriliş süreci başlatmalıdır.

Abstract
In this study, it was aimed to evaluate Aliya Izzetbegovic's views on religion and social change in his thought, and the documentary literature review model was used within the scope of the study. At the end of the literature review, it has been determined that Aliya Izzetbegovic considers religion as an essential element of social transformation. According to him, Islam is not only a set of beliefs, but a comprehensive movement of change that starts from the individual and spreads to the society. The elimination of the moral decadence in society is only possible through the realization of moral attitudes based on a solid foundation of faith and in harmony with this faith. Izzetbegovic emphasized that a process of renewal that would respond to the needs of the period while adhering to the core values of Islam is essential. In this process, he stated that the encouragement of the search for knowledge, the expansion of education and the active participation of women in social life play a critical role. Linking morality to the inner world of the individual, Izzetbegovic argued that moral behavior should emerge through conscious choice and free will. According to him, Islam should initiate a process of resurrection fed by its own resources by rebuilding society in line with the principles of justice, freedom and independence.
