Abstract
İktisat tarihi çalışmaları, sadece rakamların ve verilerin bir dökümü değil; bir toplumun refah arayışının, siyasi tercihlerinin ve entelektüel birikiminin izini sürme çabasıdır. Türkiye’nin modernleşme ve ekonomi inşası sürecinde yayımlanan süreli yayınlar, dönemin özelliklerini yansıtan en canlı kaynaklar arasında yer almaktadır. Bu dergiler, dönemin ekonomik düşüncesini ve siyaset tartışmalarını barındıran son derece kıymetli birer eser niteliğindedir. Türk Ekonomi Kurumu’nun yayın organı olarak faaliyet gösteren Türk Ekonomisi dergisi, yayın hayatına Temmuz 1943’te başlamış ve 1955 yılına kadar toplam 150 sayı yayınlanmıştır. Yayınlandığı dönemde bünyesinde barındırdığı uzman yazar kadrosuyla Türkiye’nin ekonomik yapısını derinlemesine analiz eden dergi, iktisadi meselelere bilimsel bir bakış açısı kazandırmayı hedeflemiştir. Sadece teorik çerçeveyle sınırlı kalmayıp dönemin ekonomi politikalarının belirlenmesinde ve hayata geçirilmesinde stratejik tavsiyeler sunan dergi, aynı zamanda uygulamaya dönük çalışmalarıyla Türkiye’nin kalkınma sürecine katkı sağlamıştır. Dergide; tarım, sanayi, ticaret ve maliye politikalarına ilişkin değerlendirmeler, istatistiki verilerle desteklenerek ele alınmış; kalkınma hedefleri doğrultusunda üretici kesime yol gösterici bilgiler verilmiştir. Ayrıca dergi, Türkiye İktisat Tarihi çalışmalarında vazgeçilmez bir başvuru kaynağı niteliği taşımaktadır. Bu çalışmada öncelikle Türk Ekonomisi dergisinin yayın hayatı, yazar kadrosu ve yayın politikası detaylandırılarak Türk basın tarihindeki yeri tespit edilmiştir. Ardından, derginin yayınlandığı dönemin temel ekonomik dinamikleri analiz edilerek, bu politikalara karşı takındığı tutum, sunduğu eleştiriler ve çözüm önerileri incelenmiştir.

Abstract
Economic history studies are not merely a compilation of numbers and data; they are an effort to trace a society’s pursuit of prosperity, its political choices, and its intellectual heritage. Periodicals published during Turkey’s modernization and economic development process are among the most vibrant sources reflecting the characteristics of that era. These journals are invaluable resources, reflecting the economic thought and political debates of the era. The Journal Türk Ekonomisi (Turkish Economy), which operated as the official publication of the Turkish Economic Association, began publication in July 1943 and published a total of 150 issues until 1955. During its publication period, the journal, with its team of expert writers, provided in-depth analyses of Turkey’s economic structure and aimed to bring a scientific perspective to economic issues. The journal not only provided theoretical frameworks but also offered strategic advice on the formulation and implementation of economic policies of the time, while simultaneously contributing to Turkey’s development process through its practical studies. The journal includes assessments of agricultural, industrial, trade, and financial policies, supported by statistical data, and provides guidance to producers in line with development goals. Furthermore, the journal serves as an indispensable reference source in studies of Turkish Economic History. This study primarily details the publication history, writer staff, and editorial policies of the Turkish Economy journal, thereby determining its place in the history of Turkish press. Subsequently, the key economic dynamics of the period in which the journal was published were analyzed, and its stance towards these policies, the criticisms it offered, and the solutions it proposed were examined.
