Abstract

Propagandanın temel amacı, bireylerin düşünce ve davranışlarını belirli bir doğrultuda yönlendirmesi olup, sanat ise bu yönlendirme sürecinde güçlü bir araç olarak kullanılmıştır. Propaganda eserleri, bireylerin düşüncelerini ve duygularını yönetmek, belirlenen konular için mesajları iletmek ve topluma yön vermek için güçlü bir yöntem olmuştur. Propaganda, sanatın gücünü kullanarak toplumu etkilemek ve belirli bir mesajı iletmek için geniş bir yelpaze içinde kullanılmıştır. Propagandanın etkili olduğu alanlar din, siyaset, devrimler, savaşlar ve reklamlar Olarak özetlenebilir ve bu etki Antik dönemlerden günümüze kadar farklı teknik ve yöntemlerle üretilen sanat eserleri ile toplumsal mesajların aktarımında hız kesmeden devam etmiştir. Bu çalışmada, sanat ve propaganda arasındaki ilişki tarihsel ve kavramsal bir çerçevede ele alınmış, eserler, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman analizi kullanılarak incelenmiştir. Bunun yanı sıra resim sanatı tarihinde propaganda içeren önemli eserler ele alınarak, sanatçıların toplumsal ve politik olaylara nasıl tepki verdikleri analiz edilerek, sanatın yalnızca estetik bir üretim alanı olmadığı, aynı zamanda ideolojik ve toplumsal mesajların iletilmesinde de etkin bir araç olduğu ortaya konulmuştur. Tarih boyunca iktidar güç tarafından kullanılan propagandanın, resim sanatıyla buluştuğu dönemlere örnekler verilirken, sadece ideolojilerin değil, siyasetin ve dinlerin de sanatı kullandığı eserlere yer verilmiştir.

Abstract

The primary aim of propaganda is to direct the thoughts and behaviors of individuals in a specific direction, and art has been used as a powerful tool in this process. Propaganda works have been a powerful method for managing individuals' thoughts and feelings, conveying messages on specific topics, and guiding society. Propaganda has been used across a wide spectrum to influence society and convey a particular message by utilizing the power of art. The areas where propaganda has been effective can be summarized as religion, politics, revolutions, wars, and advertising, and this influence has continued unabated from ancient times to the present day through works of art produced with different techniques and methods in the transmission of social messages. In this study, different works of art as a tool of propaganda are examined, and the effect of visual language on the viewer is evaluated through various examples. In this study, the relationship between art and propaganda is addressed within a historical and conceptual framework, and the works are examined using document analysis, a qualitative research method. In addition, by examining important works containing propaganda in the history of painting, the reactions of artists to social and political events are analyzed, demonstrating that art is not only an area of ​​aesthetic production but also an effective tool in the transmission of ideological and social messages. The text provides examples of periods in history where propaganda, used by those in power, intersected with painting, highlighting works that utilized art not only for ideologies but also for politics and religion.
