Abstract
Türkiye’deki iletişim eğitimi, gelişmiş ülkelerdekine benzer izler taşısa da kendine ait tarihsel bir geçmişi ve ayırt edici bazı özellikleri olduğunu kabul etmek gerekir. 1950 yılında ilk olarak üniversite düzeyinde İstanbul Üniversitesi Gazetecilik Enstitüsü ile başlayan ve aradan geçen 64 yılsonunda sayıları yaklaşık 60 civarında olan (Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti ayrık olmak üzere) iletişim fakülteleri artık bu alandaki eksikliği gidermiş ve hatta sektörün ihtiyacının çok üstünde mezun verir hale gelmiştir. Eski tanımlar doğrultusunda kitle iletişimi ve güncel haliyle yeni medya söylemlerinin içini doldurabilecek nitelikte bir eğitim gücüne sahip olan bu kurumların varlığına nerelerde, hangi içerikte ve nasıl bir eğitici kadrosu ile ihtiyaç duyulduğunun tespiti ile başlayan kurulum süreci, tanımlara uygun nitelikte öğrenci profilinin eklenmesi ile son bulur. 1998 yılında Avrupa’da, 2012 yılında ise Adnan Menderes Üniversitesi’nde başlayan sürece uyum çalışmaları, 2014 yılında tamamlanmış ve 2014-2015 eğitim-öğretim yılından itibaren de Fakültemiz dahil tüm birimlerinde süreç işletilmeye başlanmıştır.

Abstract
It should be accepted that, even though it has some similarities with the developed countries, Turkey’s communication education system has some distinctive characters. In 1950, the communication education process started with the establishment of Istanbul University school of journalism and today, after 64 years, the nuber of communication faculties has reached to number of 60 (not including TRNC) and they started to graduate more students than the number of the sector’s needs. Describe the former in accordance with the mass media and the current form of new media discourses fill it capable of training who have the power of these institutions to the existence, from where the content and how a team of trainers and needed to determine whether starting with the installation process, definitions qualify the student profile with the addition of ends. The Works of usion has started in Europe by the year of 1998 and in 2012 at Adnan Menderes University, and completed by the year of 2014. Then the process had been worked by all of the faculties of the university including our faculty too.
