Abstract
Bu çalışmada Amasya İli'nin Merzifon İlçesi merkezinde yer alan 18 adet ev incelenmiştir. Söz konusu evler 19.yüzyıl sonu ile 20.yüzyıl başlarına tarihlendirilmiştir. Evler genellikle iki katlı olup, ahşap hımış ve bağdadi tekniği ile yapılmıştır. Dört tanesi dış sofalı, on dört tanesi ise iç sofalı plan tipine göre inşa edilen evlerin cepheleri çıkmalarla hareketlendirilmiştir. Genel olarak evlerin bodrum katları taş malzemeden inşa edilmiş ve depo amaçlı kullanılmıştır. Hizmet alanı olarak kullanılan zemin kat ile asıl yaşam alanı olan üst katlarda ağırlıklı olarak ahşap malzeme kullanılmıştır. Bazı evlerin özellikle tavanlarında, dolap kapakları ile kapı ve pencere kanatlarında ahşap süsleme yer almaktadır. Çalışmamızın Merzifon konut mimarisi açısından bir eksikliği tamamlamasının yanı sıra Merzifon evleri ile ilgili yapılacak sonraki araştırmalara da fayda sağlayacağını düşünmekteyiz.

Abstract
This study, 18 houses in the center of Merzifon district of Amasya province were examined. The houses were dated to the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. Houses are usually two-storeys, made of timber and limestone technique. Four of them were exterior sofas and fourteen of them were built with the inner sofa-type plan, and the houses were moved out of the portholes. In general, the basements of the houses were built from stone and used for warehouse purposes. The ground floor which is used as a service area and the main living space which is the main living space are mainly made of wood. Some houses have wooden decorations, especially on their ceilings, on cabinet doors, doors and window wings. We think that our work will benefit not only in terms of Merzifon residence architecture but also in the future researches about Merzifon houses.
