Abstract
Kabaca 1980-2000 arasını içine alan dönemde, aşırı sağ partilerin yükselişi, yalnızca bu partilere oy veren seçmenler üzerinden anlaşılmaya çalışılmıştır. “Normal patoloji” kavramsallaştırmasının etkisi altında, “talep yönlü açıklamalara” daha fazla önem verilmiştir. Ancak 2000 sonrası dönemde yalnızca “talep yönlü açıklamaların” aşırı sağ partilerin ülkeler arasındaki değişen başarısını açıklayamadığı görülmüştür. “Normal patoloji” tezinin iddialarının geçerliliğinin sorgulandığı bir ortamda, seçmenlerin aşırı sağ partilere yönelik eğilimlerini etkileyen koşullar kadar, aşırı sağ partilerin kendileri ve faaliyet gösterdikleri ülkedeki siyasal sistemin de analiz konusu edildiği “arz yönlü açıklamalara” yönelim gösterilmiştir. Neticede ayrı ayrı değil de, arz ve talep yönlü açıklamaları bir arada ele almanın doğru olacağı yönünde bir fikir birliği oluşmuştur. Bu çalışmada Batı Avrupa’daki aşırı sağ partilerin son 30-40 yıllık süreçteki yükselişi, bahsi geçen teoriler ve yaklaşımlar etrafında tartışılacaktır. Bunun için öncelikle kısaca hangi partilerden bahsedildiği açıklanacak, ardından savaş sonrası dönemde aşırı sağ parti çalışmalarının gelişim evrelerinden kısaca bahsedilecek ve son olarak aşırı sağ partilerin yükselişini açıklayan teorilerin detaylı analizi yapılacaktır.

Abstract
Roughly between 1980 and 2000, the rise of extreme right-wing parties has been tried to be understood only through voters who voted for these parties. Under the influence of the conceptualization of "normal pathology," more emphasis has been placed on "demand-side explanations". However, in the post-2000 period, it was seen that only "demand-side explanations" could not explain the changing success of extreme right-wing parties among countries. In an environment questioning the validity of the "normal pathology" thesis' arguments, there occured a tendency to "supply side explanations" which analyzes right-wing parties themselves and the political system of the countries as well as the conditions affecting voters' tendencies towards extreme right-wing parties. In the end, a consensus was reached that it would be right to treat supply and demand-side explanations together, rather than separately. In this study, the rise of extreme right wing parties in Western Europe over the last 30-40 years will be discussed around the theories and approaches mentioned. First of all, it will explain in brief what parties are mentioned, then briefly mention the developmental stages of extreme right wing party work in the postwar period and finally analyze in detail the theories explaining the rise of extreme right-wing parties.
