Abstract
1353 yılından itibaren Rumeli’ye yerleşmeye başlayan Osmanlı Devleti bu topraklarda kalıcı olabilmek adına bazı adımlar atmıştır. Uzun yıllar devam eden barış ortamı gerek milliyetçilik düşüncesinden etkilenen halkın ayaklanması gerekse Rusya’nın çabalarıyla bozulmaya başlamıştır. Yüzyıllarca Rumeli topraklarında yaşayan Müslüman halk çareyi Anadolu’ya göç etmekte bulmuş ve geniş kitleler halinde göç hareketi başlamıştır. Göç hareketi Osmanlı Devleti’ni Sosyo-ekonomik yönden etkilerken çeşitli tedbirlerle düzenin bozulmamasına gayret edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada, 1877-1878 Osmanlı-Rus ve Balkan savaşları sonrasında meydana gelen göç hareketi ‘nin nedenleri ve sonuçları üzerinde durulmuştur.

Abstract
Since 1353, the Ottoman Empire, which began to settle in Rumeli, took some steps to become permanent in this land. The peace environment, which continued for many years, has begun to deteriorate with the uprising of the people affected by the idea of nationalism and the efforts of Russia. The Muslim people who lived in Rumeli land for centuries have found the remedy to migrate to Anatolia and the migration movement has begun in large masses. While the migration movement influenced the Ottoman state in socio-economic ways, the order was not broken by various measures. In this study, the causes and outcomes of the migration movement, which occurred after the 1877-1878 Ottoman-Russian and Balkan wars, were emphasized.
