Abstract
Modern Mısır edebiyatının doğuşu sırasında biçim ve içerik bakımından farklılaşan nesir, tercüme eserlerin konu ve formundan etkilenirken, edebi nakdin oluşmasında önemli isimlerden biri olan Abbâs Mahmûd el-Akkâd’ın (1889-1964) Sârâ (1938) adlı eseri ilk psikanalitik roman olarak kabul edilir. Çeviri romanların içeriğindeki salt aşk macerasından uzak olarak aşkın felsefî temasına odaklan bu esere benzer şekilde, ilk Arap romanı olarak literatüre geçen Zeynep’in (1912) kadın konusuna odaklanıp evlilik sorunsalı etrafında kurgulanması Ortadoğu toplumlarına hâkim olan bakış açısındaki yanılgıya işaret etmektedir. Romanın içeriğinde yer alan gülmece, ciddiyet ve her biri inceleme konusu olabilecek olguların uyumlu bir şekilde harmanlanışı Mısır edebiyatının kendi karakteriyle vücut bulmaya çalıştığı ve dilin yeni mefhumları ifadeye hazırlandığı dönemde son derece başarılı örnektir. Söz konusu çalışma eseri biçim ve içerik bakımından inceleyerek Akkâd’ın gözüyle kadın ve aşk mefhumuna odaklanacaktır.

Abstract
Prose differs in content during the birth of Modern Egyptian literature. It is influenced by the subject and form of translated works, and the work Sârâ (1938) of Abbâs Mahmud al-Akkâd (1889-1964), one of the important names in the formation of literary, is considered the first psychoanalytic novel. It focuses on the philosophical theme of love, far from the mere love adventure in the content of translated novels. With this feature, the novel named "Zeynep" goes into the literature as the first Arabic novel. The novel points out the problematic in the dominant view of the Middle Eastern societies on the problem of marriage. The harmonious blend of humorous and seriousness in the content of the novel tries to create the own character of Egyptian literature. The novel was a very successful example with these features. This study will focus on Akkâd's concept of woman and love in the work by examining the novel "Sara" in terms of form and content.
