Abstract
Ahmet Yakupoğlu uzun, üretken, verimli bir ömür sürdü. Resimden başka klasik musikî meşki, minyatür ve tezhip (kitap /levha süslemeleri) ile de ilgilendi. Her zaman için taslama tavırlardan uzak duran bu sanatkâr; bu sayede bir yandan samimiyeti ve dürüstlüğü şahsında temsil ederken; bir yandan da; güzel sanatlar adına; örnek düzeyde sebatkârlık ve etkin bir fikir işçiliği ortaya koydu. Kendi şehri Kütahya ile özellikle bütünleşerek, son tahlilde sevgili Türkiye’sinin topyekûn sosyal tarihine ve kültürüne önemli katkılar sundu. Tabloları çoğunlukla realist (gerçekçi); mevzuları ise millî ve tarihî tonlamalar ile beziydi. Tasavvuf tonlamalı bir anlayış da teşebbüslerinde büyük itici güç oluşturuyordu. Çeşitli kabiliyet ve gayretleriyle hezarfen sıfatını ziyadesiyle hak ediyordu ki, uğraşları içinde çevre koruma ve tabiat değerlerinin takdiri ayrı bir yer tutuyordu. İleri yaşında kendisine, parlak başarılarından dolayı öngörülen onursal doktora pâyesi; onun muhteşem hayat çizgisini gayet güzel bir biçimde tamamiyete ulaştırmıştır. O takdim merasiminde öylesine duygulanmıştır ki, göz pınarlarına sevinç yaşları dolmuştur! Onunki gibi bir hayat ne mükemmel, ne doludur! Hâsılı, Maslow’un önerdiği ihtiyaçlar ve güdülenmeler piramidinde en üst basamağa vâsıl olabilmiş, yani kendi kendisini gerçekleştirebilmiş müstesna bireylerden birisidir kendisi.

Abstract
Ahmet Yakupoğlu led a long, productive and efficient life. Besides artistic painting, he also dealt with classical Turkish music, miniature-art and Islamic book adornment activities. Always unpretentious; the mentioned artist in a sense epitomized sincerety and integrity in his very personality, on one hand; while displaying exemplary perseverance and effective tinkering with ideas in the field of fine arts; on the other hand. Especially unifying with his home-city Kütahya, he had contributed a lot to the entire social history and culture of his beloved country, Turkey. His paintings were mostly realistic while the themes involved national and historical tints. A sufistic understanding used to constitute a great motor-force in his endeavors, as well. He thoroughly deserved the title of polymath with his mannifold talents and efforts, which included environmental preservation and appreciation of pastoral values; among other things. At his advanced age, an honorary doctorate degree bestowed upon him to commemorate his outstanding achievements, had beautifully completed his splendid lifeline. The spirit moved him so much at the presentation ceremony that his eyes came to fill with tears! How perfectly-full is a life like his! Indeed, he is one of the exceptional individuals who had attained the uppermost level of self-actualization in the pyramidical hierarchy of needs and motivations proposed by Maslow.
