Abstract
Güncel sanat içinde sanatçı tipolojisi değişirken sanatçılar farklı disiplinlerden beslenerek belgeleme ve arşivleme pratiklerini sık sık kullanır olmuştur. Sanatçıların belgeleme pratiklerinde dert edindiği konuların başında ise kent ve kente ait olgular gelmektedir. Kentsel eşitsizliğe kayıtsız kalamayan sanatçıların bu durum karşısındaki kaygılarını yansıtan ve kenti belgeleyen pratikleri güncel sanatta önemli bir yere sahiptir. Bir sosyolog gibi hareket eden güncel sanatçılar kentin öteki yüzünü, çarpık kentleşmenin anti estetik yönlerini ve yeni orta sınıf için soylulaştırma projeleriyle dönüştürülen kentin yeni yaşam alanlarını kayıt altına almaktadırlar. Kentte yürümek, kenti deneyimlemek güncel sanatta kenti belgeleyen sanatçıların pratiklerinde önemli bir stratejiye dönüşmektedir. Bu çalışma güncel sanatta kentin dokümantasyonunu sanatçı pratikleri üzerinden incelemeyi amaçlar.

Abstract
While the typology of artists has changed in contemporary art, artists have frequently used documentation and archiving practices by being fed from different disciplines. The city and its phenomena are at the forefront of the issues that artists worry about in their documentation practices. The practices of artists who cannot remain indifferent to urban inequality, reflecting their concerns about this situation and documenting the city, have an important place in contemporary art. Acting like a sociologist, contemporary artists are recording the other side of the city, the anti-aesthetic aspects of unplanned urbanization, and the new living spaces of the city transformed with gentrification projects for the new middle class. Walking in the city, experiencing the city turns into an important strategy in the practices of artists who document the city in contemporary art. This study aims to examine the documentation of the city in contemporary art through artist practices.
