It has been the subject of numerous manuscripts and even poems, and held up as an example for the development of virtues among Muslims such as faith, to be martyred in the way of Allah, and self-renunciation and self-sacrifice for a greater cause. The aim of this study is to evaluate the Battle of Badr within the context of war, human rights and war, and kinship and enmity from the perspective of Islamic terminology, which has also been in the center of debate recently. This study addressed the historical and moral aspects rather than the legal aspect of the Battle of Badr. We hope to make a contribution to the understanding of the relation between Muhammad the Prophet and war, and to the debate regarding the ethics of war embraced by Muslims.},author={Mehmet Nadir ÖZDEMİR},year={2017},journal={The Journal of Turk-Islam World Social Studies}}
