It is determined to have many written and verbal variants. The story is a love story developing around the characters named Aşık Garip and Şah Senem. Our study is performed on its version named ‘’Menakıb-ı Aşık Garip and Şah Senem Hanım’’ composed of 65 foils which was converted in to prose in nineteenth century. The whole of the version is converted in to Roman alphabet with the name of Menakıb-ı Aşık Garip and Şah Senem Hanım that is prepared as master’s thesis where the text quotations are made over this thesis. While narration named ‘’Menakıb-ı Aşık Garip and Şah Senem Hanım’’ contains some of shape and content features of folk tale tradition it also have different elements.
