Abstract
Çalışma, Hüseyin Başar’ın Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı Yayınları tarafından 1999’da basılan Sınıf Yönetimi isimli kitabının özeti olarak hazırlanmıştır. Kitap toplam altı bölümden oluşmaktadır. İlk bölüm olan sınıf yönetiminin özelliklerinde, sınıf yönetimi, boyutları, modelleri, sınıf yönetiminin sınıf dışı değişkenleri açıklanmıştır. “Ders Dönemi Öncesi Sınıf Hazırlıkları” isimli ikinci bölüm; fiziksel ortam, düzenlenmesi, plan-program hazırlıkları, program düzeni ve eğitim planlarını irdelemiştir. “Sınıfın İlişki Düzeni” olarak adlandırılan üçüncü bölüm; sınıfta ilk günler, sınıf kuralları, davranış ortamı oluşturma, demokratik ortam, sınıfta iletişim ve zaman yönetimi konularını kapsamaktadır. Dördüncü bölüm “Sınıfın Öğretim Ortamı”; hedef davranışların ve öğretim araçlarının belirlenmesi, öğretim uygulaması, dikkati çekme, amaçları açıklama, güdüleme, içeriği kazandırma, dönüt alma-düzeltme, özetleme-değerlendirme ve pekiştirme şeklinde yapılandırılmıştır. “İstenmeyen Davranışların Önlenmesi” isimli beşinci bölümün bazı alt başlıkları şunlardır: Sınıfın Davranış Düzeni, İstenmeyen ve İsteneni Destekleyici Davranışlar, Öğrencilerin Özellikleri, Sınıfın Yapısı, Eğitim Programı, Öğretmenin Özellikleri, İstenmeyen Davranışlara Karşı Stratejiler, İsteneni Çağrıştırıcı Davranmak, İstenen Davranışı Güçlendirmek ve Kolaylaştırmak. Son bölüm “İstenmeyen Davranışların Değiştirilmesi” olarak adlandırılmıştır. Bu bölümde istenmeyen davranışlara karşı yaklaşımlar ve eylemler, okul yönetimi ve aileyle ilişki kurmak, ceza vermek, karşı eylemler sıra dizini ve gözetilmesi gerekenler, sınıf ortamının bozulmasını önlemek ve öğrenci direncinin yönetimi özgün bir içerikle yapılandırılmıştır.

Abstract
The study was prepared as a summary of the book of Hüseyin Başar entitled Classroom Management, which was published by the Ministry of National Education Publications in 1999. The book consists of six chapters in total. Classroom management, dimensions, models, and the out-of-class variables of classroom management were explained in the characteristics of classroom management, which is the first chapter. The second chapter entitled “Pre-Course Period Classroom Preparations” examined the physical environment, its arrangement, plan-program preparations, program layout and curricula. The third chapter entitled the “Relationship Order of the Classroom” covers the following subjects: the first days in the classroom, classroom rules, creating a behavioural environment, democratic environment, communication in the classroom and time management. The fourth chapter “The Teaching Environment of the Classroom” was structured as the determination of target behaviours and teaching aids, teaching practice, drawing attention, explaining the aims, motivating, introducing the content, receiving feedback-correcting, summarizing-evaluating and consolidating. Some of the subheadings of the fifth chapter entitled “The Prevention of Undesirable Behaviours” are the Behavioural Order of the Classroom, Behaviours that Support the Undesirable and Desirable, Student Characteristics, Classroom Structure, Curriculum, Teacher Characteristics, Strategies against Undesirable Behaviours, How to Behave to Get the Desirable, Consolidating and Facilitating the Desirable Behaviour. The last chapter was named “Changing the Undesirable Behaviours”. Approaches and actions against undesirable behaviours, establishing a relationship with the school management and family, punishing, counter-actions range and the things to consider, how to prevent the deterioration of the classroom environment and the management of student resistance were structured with a unique content.
