Abstract

Beginning in 1550 through the 1950, the relations of Austria-Hungary and the Ottoman Empire, which were allies in the First World War, resulted in long-term wars . By the 20th century due to colonialism and the desire to acquire more land, these two states were endangered and forced to be allied. During the alliance, the two states got closer and shared the same fate at the end of the war. During the war, Ottoman became the control region of Austria-Hungary in the Caucasus and in the East. During the war, it was seen that the rulers negotiated as well as the imperial diplomacy. The purpose of this article is to show that both empires affected each other during the war and to highlight the positive effects of this interaction. According to the findings, it is understood that the positive effects of the war were being significantly improved in the military field. Furthermore it has been observed that the Habsburg and the Ottoman dynasty honored each other.
